IGECON Limited is a leader in sustainable energy and digital infrastructure solutions, providing innovative, efficient and cost-effective services.
IGECON Limited was officially incorporated on December 13, 2005, under the Companies Act of Trinidad and Tobago. However, the company’s roots reach back to 2003, when the foundational vision was sparked—one that would eventually evolve into a dynamic consultancy in engineering, project management, and sustainable infrastructure.
Headquartered at 84 Calcutta Road #2, Freeport, St. Mary’s, Carapichaima, in Trinidad and Tobago, IGECON Limited (IL) emerged from a pioneering fusion of academia, industry, and public sector expertise, setting the stage for a new kind of Caribbean enterprise.
The idea for IGECON was born within the halls of the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT). Led by Simone St. Cyr, a determined class representative in the Electrical Technology Programme, the initiative was driven by a passion for innovation, equity, and technical excellence in a traditionally male-dominated field.
Under Simone’s leadership, the student-led initiative attracted an impressive range of collaborators who would become foundational pillars of IGECON’s journey. Their shared goal: to deliver real-world solutions with practical, human-focused outcomes.
From its inception, IGECON stood out for its unmatched multidisciplinary team. Going beyond technical professionals, IGECON assembled a network of retired public and private sector leaders, a psychologist, a retired judge, and a former secondary school dean.
This unique mix provided IGECON with the ability to approach projects from both a technical and psychosocial perspective—delivering holistic solutions grounded in both precision and empathy. This continues to be a hallmark of the IGECON brand
As the CEO of IGECON, Simone drives IGECON’s success and builds global impact—leading innovation in electrical technology, breaking barriers and empowering youth through ethical collaboration and strategic leadership in renewable energy.
Chrystal ensures Igecon’s efficiency by managing procurement, logistics and supply chains. As Company Secretary, she oversees governance, compliance and strategic operations, keeping sustainability projects running smoothly and effectively.
Wendell optimises Igecon’s facilities management and refines operations—ensuring efficiency, sustainability and innovation. His mentorship empowers teams, fostering leadership and technical excellence in renewable energy solutions.
Flora-belle enhances Igecon’s impact utilizing design management processes to achieve business goals. She ensures sustainability projects resonate with investors and industry leaders through strategic creative design.
Hayzel seamlessly integrates mentorship, strategy and operational excellence at Igecon. As Executive Assistant to the CEO, she drives the execution of key initiatives while shaping future leaders. A former Dean of Holy Faith Convent Couva, she continues her legacy by mentoring past pupils—including the CEO and Company Secretary—fostering growth, collaboration and strategic vision for Igecon’s success in renewable energy.
Kerwin shapes Igecon’s vision and refines global landscapes—balancing precision, sustainability and strategic planning. As a draughtsman and town planning expert, he ensures efficiency while mentoring with wisdom and integrity.
IGECON is driven by a powerful purpose: to lead the Caribbean in sustainable, efficient, and community-enhancing technical solutions. With a clear focus on energy, equity, and environmental responsibility, the company embraces the future of infrastructure, one project at a time.
