Restoring Power After 20 Years
Ms. Cutting’s Journey
The Challenge
Ms. Cutting, a resident of Morvant, had been without electricity for over 20 years due to legal complications surrounding her property rights. Without proof of entitlement, she was unable to get reconnected to the national grid.
IGECON’s Role
Through our R.E.A.P. Program, IGECON stepped in to support Ms. Cutting by assisting with legal verification and facilitating communication with the necessary authorities. We worked closely with T&TEC and the Government Electrical Inspectorate (GEI) to navigate the reconnection process.
Outcome
With IGECON’s guidance, Ms. Cutting successfully secured the required inspection certificate, leading to the restoration of her electricity supply. This achievement highlights our dedication to ensuring equal access to essential services for underserved communities.
