We are pleased to announce a significant milestone in our Rural Electrification Assistance Programme. Ms. Cutting, a resident of Morvant, has been successfully reconnected to the electricity grid after being disconnected for over twenty years. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as Ms. Cutting faced prolonged disconnection due to the need to prove her entitlement to reside at the property in question.
IGECON played a pivotal role in assisting Ms. Cutting by defining her residential status to the relevant authorities. Through our dedicated efforts, we facilitated the necessary documentation and communication, which enabled the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) and the Government Electrical Inspectorate (GEI) to proceed with the reconnection process.
As a result of IGECON’s involvement, Ms. Cutting obtained the required inspection certificate, paving the way for her reconnection to the electricity supply. This milestone not only highlights the importance of our programme in addressing the needs of rural residents but also underscores our commitment to ensuring that every individual has access to essential services.
